Balancer has issued an on-chain notice to the operator of an Ethereum wallet linked to the August 31 Balancer V1 exploit, urging them to cooperate in resolving the incident.

The notice offers a bounty for returning the exploited funds to the Balancer DAO multisig address and sets a deadline of September 8, 2026, at 21:00 UTC for a response through Blockscan. The operator has until then to initiate private communication with SEAL911, Hypernative, and Balancer's legal team.

The notice, posted on September 3 via Balancer, frames the current outreach as an opportunity for cooperation, stating that 'we would prefer to resolve this without escalation.'
