Bank of America Boosts Coinbase Price Target to $203
Bank of America has increased its price target for Coinbase stock to $203, up from $174, while keeping its Buy rating intact. The updated target reflects the bank's optimistic outlook on the cryptocurrency exchange's future financial performance, particularly for the years 2027 and 2028.
The revised price target is supported by expectations of revenue growth driven by interest-bearing USDC reserves, following the Federal Reserve's rate hike in September. Bank of America anticipates that USDC-related interest income will contribute significantly to Coinbase's revenue moving forward.
The adjustment comes on the heels of a strong third quarter for major cryptocurrencies, with Bitcoin (BTC) gaining 43% and Ethereum (ETH) surging 70% in value. Despite a decline in secondary trading volume, the substantial capital appreciation in BTC and ETH bolstered the bank's updated assessment of Coinbase's prospects.
Bank of America maintains a Buy rating on Coinbase, reinforcing its positive stance on the company's long-term potential.
