Bank of America Sees $3.2B Crypto Fund Inflow Surge
Bank of America's latest report shows a significant shift in crypto fund flows. The week ending in late August 2026 saw $3.2 billion in net inflows into crypto funds, the largest single-week haul since October 2025. This marks a dramatic turnaround from the previous week, which saw $392 million in outflows.
The majority of these inflows went to US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, collectively pulling in about $2.6 billion during the week ending August 22, 2026. Bitcoin ETFs alone accounted for $1.9 billion, while Ethereum ETFs contributed $697 million. The remaining $600 million or so in inflows landed across other crypto fund vehicles.
Bitcoin's price played a significant role in this surge, rallying to levels near or above the $78,000 to $80,000 range during the period. This aligned with a broader risk-on mood across financial markets. Bank of America has been expanding client access to digital asset investment products, allowing certain clients to allocate up to 4% of their portfolios into regulated crypto products.
