Bankr Developer's Account Compromised, Leaking Sensitive Information
The developer of Bankr, a platform that supports multiple blockchain networks and decentralized applications (dApps), has been compromised. Deployer tweeted about their account being hacked, resulting in sensitive information being leaked.
The hacker gained access to the developer's Bankr X account and obtained personal data, including the real name associated with it. Notably, this breach occurred shortly after deployer mentioned an Ethereum proposal, EIP-2309, which they supported. This proposal aims to standardize the 'ConsecutiveTransfer' event for ERC-721 tokens.
Before founding Bankr, Sean Papanikolas worked as a senior software engineer at Payward, the parent company of an exchange, from 2021 to 2022. He also briefly served as a senior software engineer at OpenSea in 2023.
