Banks Get Help Integrating Stablecoins into Payment Operations
Payments-as-a-Service specialist Volante Technologies has partnered with USDC issuer Circle to help banks integrate stablecoin payment and settlement capabilities into their existing operations. This collaboration will enable financial institutions to evaluate how stablecoin activity can operate alongside existing payment rails, operational controls, and on- and off-ramp requirements.
Volante is bringing USDC workflows into its AI-powered platform, allowing clients, which include many of the world's biggest banks, to assess how stablecoins can be integrated without requiring a separate digital asset stack. This means evaluating workflows such as minting, redemption, beneficiary wallet registration, funding, notifications, and wallet-to-wallet payment execution within their current infrastructure.
Nikhil Chandhok, chief product and technology officer at Circle, emphasizes the growing importance of stablecoins in modern payments infrastructure: 'As stablecoins become an increasingly important component of modern payments infrastructure, financial institutions need practical ways to understand how digital dollars can fit within existing operations.'
