Barça Fan Lab: FC Barcelona's New Cardano-Based Digital Platform for Fans
FC Barcelona has launched Barça Fan Lab, a digital platform built on Cardano that lets fans earn verifiable credentials by participating.
The project was developed with technology partner Andamio and aims to transform how millions of fans interact with the club.
Fans access the platform through their existing BarçaID profiles, which automatically create a personal Cardano wallet tied to that profile and store earned credentials.
Barça Fan Lab covers four areas: club history and values, sustainability and inclusion themes, bridging physical fan communities into digital participation, and experimental features like Web3 apps and collectibles.
The project was partially funded by the Cardano community grant program, Catalyst Fund 13, which explains why FC Barcelona chose this specific blockchain over rivals.
