Base Vault Loses $6 Million in Aave Deposit Tokens

Aave deposit tokens worth approximately $6 million were recently drained from the Base Vault. This unusual activity followed a change in the borrower-whitelist parameters. Six separate outflows occurred, with the funds subsequently redeemed for wrapped staked Ethereum (wstETH).

Some of the wstETH was later transferred through bridge withdrawals, indicating movement toward the Ethereum network. The sequence of events suggests a coordinated effort to exploit the updated whitelist settings.
