BCH Teeters on Resistance as Momentum Warns of Correction
Bitcoin Cash is in a precarious position after staging a significant recovery in recent weeks. According to Terrill Dicki, BCH has reclaimed ground above every key moving average and is currently trading at $343.60 with a 1.39% daily gain.
The architecture of the market looks constructive, with price above its 7-day, 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day simple moving averages simultaneously. However, this run has driven BCH directly into its immediate resistance band at $349.20, with the next hard ceiling stacked just above at $354.80.
The momentum data is firing warning shots, with an RSI of 74.46 indicating that BCH is in overbought territory. The MACD histogram has zeroed out completely, and the Signal line convergence suggests that the directional thrust is gone for now.
Despite this, smart money remains aggressively long, with open interest surging 5.56% in 24 hours to 440,408 contracts, roughly $149 million in notional. The derivatives data shows new capital being deployed, confirming the signal.
