A multi-asset liquid staking protocol called Bedrock has been hit by a security exploit. The breach resulted in the loss of approximately $2 million in assets. Hackers targeted uniBTC, a synthetic Bitcoin token used in decentralized finance.

This is the third consecutive hack in recent days, following a $50 million breach at BingX and a $4.6 million malware attack on Truflation. Bedrock confirmed the breach on September 27 via a post on X, stating that the root cause of the exploit had been 'handled'.

The protocol reassured users that all remaining funds were safe and plans to issue a reimbursement plan soon. Most losses occurred in decentralized exchange liquidity pools, but underlying wrapped BTC tokens and standard Bitcoin held in reserves remained secure.
