Belarus Cracks Down on Crypto Couriers Helping Scammers

Belarusian authorities have launched a major crackdown on cryptocurrency couriers in the Minsk region. According to reports, the couriers allegedly helped telephone scammers obtain victims' money. The scammers instructed their victims to leave their savings in hiding places, which were then collected by the couriers and converted into cryptocurrency.

With the help of Interior Ministry special units, 19 people were detained in the Minsk region. Seven of them have been remanded in custody. The investigators are now working to establish the circumstances of the group's activities, the number of victims, and the amount of damage caused.
