Bernstein: Clarity Act Closer Than Crypto Markets Think

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has urged senators to advance the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act when they return from the August recess, renewing his July call for action.

The revised draft of the bill targets non-decentralized DeFi trading protocols and would direct federal regulators to write rules for them.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong believes that crypto could gain regulatory clarity whether the Clarity Act passes on September 15 or federal agencies advance rulemaking afterward.
