Bessent Presses Senate on CLARITY Act, Urging Immediate Passage

Share

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has urged the Senate to pass the CLARITY Act, arguing it's essential for keeping the US at the forefront of the digital asset industry. The bill has been pending in the Senate since the House passed it over a year ago.

Bessent criticized Senate Democrats for delaying the legislation, stating that political considerations are standing in the way of regulatory clarity for the crypto industry. He wrote on X, 'America will lead or America won't. It's not more complicated than that.'

Fundstrat Capital CIO Tom Lee echoed Bessent's call for immediate action on the bill, stating, 'The CLARITY Act is critically needed to ensure the US leads this digital financial future. This needs to be passed and enacted.'
