The XRP Ledger is on track to receive its next major software upgrade, version 3.3.0, which Ripple's Head of Product at RippleX, Jazzi Copper, announced will include five key amendments.

These updates aim to move the XRPL closer to supporting tokenized assets at scale, enabling global transfers, trading, collateralizing, and settling. Copper emphasized that 'XRPL has already proven it can support tokenized assets at scale. Now it's time to put these assets to use.'

One of the proposed amendments is Confidential MPT, which utilizes elliptic-curve encryption along with zero-knowledge proofs for native privacy of Multi-Purpose Tokens. This will allow issuers and token holders to maintain confidentiality while enabling others to check transaction details if needed.

The Batch amendment will permit multiple transactions between various accounts to be processed atomically in a single ledger, aiding the implementation of complex workflow patterns like delivery-versus-payment (DvP) and atomic settlement.
