Biden Launches LAPTOP Meme Coin Targeting Trump Holders

Hunter Biden's new meme coin, LAPTOP, has hit the market. Named after the personal computer that trailed his father through American politics since 2020, it is a token issued on Base, a layer-2 network built by Coinbase in 2023.

Biden confirmed the ticker hours after The Wall Street Journal first reported the launch plans on September 7, 2026. A total of one billion LAPTOP tokens will be issued, with a split of 30% for founders including Biden, who holds his stake locked for six months and vesting in full after two years.

The remaining supply is divided between airdrops (20%), conditional burn (30%), charity, liquidity, and foundation (20%). The airdrop goes to wallets that lost money on TRUMP, the meme coin launched by Donald Trump in January 2025, as well as subscribers to Biden's Substack and Andrew Callaghan's mailing list.
