Billionaire Accuses Trump Family Crypto Firm of Fraud After Massive Investment

Share

Chinese billionaire Justin Sun accused President Donald Trump of 'threatening' him to keep quiet about fraud in his family's crypto firm, World Liberty Financial.

Sun invested $30 million in World Liberty and joined it as an advisor in late 2024. However, he soon came to see the investment as a 'colossal mistake', with the firm's promised products never materializing and its tokens crashing in value.

In April, Sun sued the company for fraud and breach of contract, stating that many other investors were also harmed.

World Liberty responded by suing Sun for defamation, claiming he made 'straw purchases' on behalf of other investors and placed a large bet against their tokens. However, Sun dismissed this suit as an effort to silence him.
