Binance Announces Brief Suspension of Deposits and Withdrawals Next Week
Binance users are in for a brief interruption to some main services next week due to scheduled maintenance. On September 22, the exchange will perform an infrastructure wallet upgrade and temporarily stop deposits and withdrawals, but token trading will not be impacted.
This is not the first time Binance has performed such maintenance; earlier this summer, it briefly halted deposits and withdrawals on the Bitcoin network and Ethereum blockchain to support wallet upgrades. The outages have lasted from minutes to a few hours with no major issues or user complaints reported.
Binance also recently announced plans to remove several cross-margin pairs and terminate access to certain spot trading pairs, but these delistings caused little volatility for the involved cryptocurrencies.
