Binance App Removed from Google Play in Spain and Latvia Over MiCA Rules

Binance's Android app has been removed from Google Play in Spain and Latvia due to the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation.

The removal is a result of Google requiring crypto exchanges targeting EU users to hold a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorisation, which Binance does not currently possess after withdrawing its MiCA application in Greece before the 1 July deadline.

This development highlights the growing regulatory pressure on major exchanges as MiCA enforcement tightens across the European Union.
