Binance Binance Pay Launches in Japan, Tapping Millions of Locations Nationwide
Binance has launched Binance Pay in Japan, allowing overseas users to spend Tether's USDT at millions of locations nationwide.
The service uses HIVEX, a payment interoperability framework that connects overseas QR payment services to PayPay-supported merchants in Japan.
According to Cointelegraph, this is the first time a crypto payment service has accessed PayPay-supported merchants through HIVEX.
PayPay is accepted at major chains, smaller retailers, vending machines, taxis, and public transportation across Japan.
