Binance Brings 24/7 Trading to Foreign Exchange Markets with USDBRL Perpetual Contract
Binance has expanded its derivatives operations beyond cryptocurrencies by introducing the world's first USDBRL perpetual futures contract. The new contract, which will be available on Binance Futures starting September 21st at 14:00 UTC, enables investors to trade the U.S. dollar relative to the Brazilian real via a USDT-denominated instrument.
The USDBRLUSDT contract will be USDⓈ-margined and quoted in USDT, with a leverage limit of up to 100x. The tick size and minimum notional value have been set at 0.0001 and 5 USDT, respectively. Funding will be paid out every eight hours, with the funding rate restricted within -0.375% to +0.375%, while the interest rate remains at zero percent.
The contract also supports Binance's Multi-Assets Mode, allowing qualified users to utilize a variety of supported assets for collateral. Trading on the USDBRLUSDT perpetual contract will occur 24/7, with the pricing mechanism differing based on whether the forex market is open or not. If the forex market is closed, the order book will be used for the calculation of the EWMA.
