Binance Co-CEO Richard Teng has clarified the exchange's approach to law enforcement requests. In a recent statement, he emphasized that Binance cooperates with global authorities through lawful and structured processes that respect legal, privacy, and regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction.

This comes after a Reuters report highlighted Binance's provision of customer information to Russian investigators in connection with a Ukraine-related donation case. According to the report, Russian authorities obtained transaction records and personal information belonging to Yuri Belenkiy, a 49-year-old Russian IT specialist and Bulgarian resident being held in Russia awaiting trial.

Teng stated that responding to lawful requests does not mean Binance is taking a political or governmental position. He noted that operating globally means engaging with authorities across all jurisdictions, including places where Binance does not operate commercially, such as the United States.
