Cryptocurrency exchange Binance is cleaning up its spot market by removing three stablecoin pairs. The removal affects the OPEN/FDUSD, SAGA/FDUSD, and VELODROME/USDC pairs on September 11, 2026, at 03:00 UTC.

This move is a regular scheduled cleanup to maintain the quality of the trading environment. Binance regularly monitors liquidity and trading volumes for all available instruments on its platform.

The exchange seeks to concentrate liquidity in popular markets by removing underperforming pairs with FDUSD and USDC stablecoins. The removal does not affect the availability of these coins on the platform, as they can still be traded through other pairs against USDT or BTC.

Trading volumes for mid-cap altcoins paired with FDUSD have fallen to critical levels, accounting for a paltry 0.06%, 0.14% of the stablecoin's total trading volume. Daily turnover barely exceeds $100,000, $300,000, according to CoinMarketCap data.
