Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that it will end mainnet support for BounceBit (BB) due to a hacking attack on the BounceBit Chain. The decision follows a permanent shutdown of the chain, and Binance will continue to support BB deposits and withdrawals via the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network.

Binance emphasized that BB deposits and withdrawals on the mainnet have been suspended as of August 20, 2026, at 05:00. To allow users to transfer their existing assets to the new network, BB deposits and withdrawals on the BNB Smart Chain are scheduled to reopen on September 1, 2026, at 10:00.

As part of the token transformation, BounceBit (BB) will be migrated from the mainnet to the BNB Smart Chain at a 1:1 ratio. This means that users' BB holdings will not change due to the transformation. Transactions will be carried out through the new BB token's smart contract, which operates on the BEP20 standard.
