Binance Drops Hryvnia Support Amid Regulatory Pressures
Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced that it will stop supporting hryvnia deposits and withdrawals via its Fiat Trade UAH service on September 28. This decision affects users who hold balances in hryvnia and have open orders for the USDT/UAH spot trading pair.
According to Binance, all deposits and withdrawals in hryvnia will be suspended after 10:00 a.m. Kyiv time on Monday, September 28. The USDT/UAH trading pair will also be delisted from the platform. All open orders for this pair will be automatically canceled after trading ceases.
Binance is advising users to decide how to use their hryvnia balances and open orders by the specified deadlines. After September 30, all eligible balances in hryvnia will be automatically converted to USDT at a fixed exchange rate of 1 USDT to 46.5 UAH.
