Binance Enters US Stock Market with Tokenized Shares
Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, is reportedly expanding into US stocks by offering over 7,000 American shares and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on its platform. The move marks a significant step towards making traditional financial assets more accessible to international investors.
According to Citi, the tokenized securities market could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030, driven by increasing adoption of tokenization by market infrastructure providers and expanding stablecoin usage.
Binance's co-CEO Richard Teng stated that US stocks currently represent more than half of global equities by market value but remain costly for many international investors to access.
