Binance Ether Withdrawals Hit Three-Year High Amid ETF Inflows
Ether withdrawals from Binance have reached a three-year high, according to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost. The 30-day moving average of withdrawal transactions has surpassed 90,000 per month, with the metric crossing this threshold in the third week of September.
This reading is significant because it represents a count of transfers rather than a quantity of ether. A rising transaction count could indicate more frequent withdrawals with smaller average sizes or both happening together.
The scope of this data is also noteworthy as it covers one exchange, Binance, which remains the largest single venue for spot ether. A sustained change in its withdrawal cadence carries more weight than a similar shift at a smaller platform would.
Holdings gains from around $1,510 over three months could be an ordinary housekeeping reason to move coins into cold storage, separate from any directional view.
