Binance Expands Beyond Crypto with Massive US Stock Offering
Binance has expanded its offerings beyond crypto by launching trading in over 7,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs for customers outside the United States. Co-CEO Richard Teng described this move as part of a push to build a multi-asset financial super app.
The product, which launched on June 1, features zero-commission trades and fractional purchases from $5. Customers can fund positions with USD Coin (USDC), Tether (USDT), BNB, or other digital assets.
Nest Trading will arrange the share purchases, while Alpaca Securities will handle custody, dividend distribution, and corporate actions. Teng noted that US equities make up well over half of the global market but remain costly and hard to reach for many overseas investors.
Binance has also previewed bStocks, a feature that allows users to convert shares into tokenized assets on BNB Chain. This means customers can start the tokenization process themselves.
