Binance Expands into Traditional Finance with Options Trading on US Stocks

Binance has expanded its services to include options trading on over 1,000 US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for eligible non-US users. This move marks a deeper push into traditional finance by the company.

The options will be offered through Nest Trading, Binance's Abu Dhabi-regulated broker-dealer. When users place trades, orders are routed to Alpaca Securities, which is registered in the United States and handles execution and post-trade operations.

The new product is physically settled, meaning that users who exercise their options will receive or deliver the underlying shares, as opposed to perpetual futures, which avoid physical delivery mechanics.

This move is part of a broader trend in the industry, with other exchanges such as Coinbase and Kraken expanding their tokenized equities offerings. According to RWA.xyz data, tokenized stocks have around $2.6 billion in distributed value, up from roughly $346 million a year earlier, while monthly transfer volume rose 93% over the past 30 days to $25.1 billion.
