Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has taken another step in its efforts to expand its presence in Kazakhstan. The company signed two memorandums of understanding with the Kazakh government on September 4, 2026.

The agreements were reached during a meeting between Binance founder Changpeng Zhao and Deputy Prime Minister Jaslan Madiev at the Alem.ai International AI Center in Astana. The first memorandum was signed with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, while the second was with the Astana International Financial Centre.

The memorandums cover cooperation on digital assets, including exploring the issuance of a stablecoin in Kazakhstan. Binance aims to build infrastructure for payments using digital assets and improve tax and judicial approaches in the sector. The agreements also focus on introducing new products and services.
