Binance Expands Rapidly into New Markets with Gold and Silver Perpetual Futures

Binance's innovation and implementation plan has been instrumental in its rapid expansion into new markets. In just seven months, the company added four new asset classes to its platform, including gold and silver perpetual futures, commodity options, and tokenized securities.

The firm listed its first gold and silver perpetual futures in January 2026 and its first options on the same metals on July 29. Direct trading in over 7,000 US-listed stocks and a tokenized securities product were also introduced within this timeframe.

Binance's Head of Exchange and Trading, Shunyet Jan, stated that 'We've seen strong demand for our commodity perpetuals since introducing them earlier this year, and commodity options build on that momentum.' He added that the company's commodity options offer users additional compliant, crypto-native ways to diversify without leaving the platform.

The cumulative volume of ETF-linked perpetual futures reached $116 billion between January and July 2026, growing at an average rate of 170% month over month. Binance's own share of this market rose from 18% at the March launch to 74% by July.
