Binance Expands Stock-to-Token Conversion for Global Traders
Binance has expanded its bStocks service, allowing international traders to convert traditional equity holdings into blockchain-based certificates at a 1:1 ratio. The platform, operated by Nest Trading Limited, enables users to tokenize their stocks during purchase, convert existing positions, or buy bStocks directly through Binance Spot trading. The conversion process is fee-free, and the service supports equities from companies like Nvidia, Tesla, Circle, Micron, and Sandisk.
However, bStocks do not confer direct ownership or traditional shareholder rights, such as voting privileges or access to corporate communications. Instead, corporate actions like dividends and stock splits are handled through an on-chain multiplier mechanism. The Abu Dhabi Global Market Financial Services Regulatory Authority oversees the registry of these instruments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
U.S. residents are excluded from accessing bStocks, as these instruments are not registered under U.S. securities regulations. Additionally, bStocks can be withdrawn as BEP-20 tokens to compatible BNB Smart Chain wallets, though network fees may apply. Binance is also running promotional campaigns, including fee-free conversions of third-party tokenized securities and incentives for first-time users.
The promotions extend through November 2026, offering users the chance to earn token vouchers for qualifying transactions. Binance's latest push aims to increase awareness and adoption of its bStocks platform, which launched in June 2024.
