Binance Expands TradFi Options with Five New Perpetual Contracts
Binance Futures has expanded its list of tradable assets by launching perpetual contracts for five major global companies, including Bitcoin mining giant MARA Holdings. The new contracts offer leverage of up to 20x and are available around the clock.
The introduction of MARA's shares on Binance coincided with a significant restructuring of the company's business. MARA reported a net loss of $611 million in its latest financial report, as revenue fell by 27%. The miner sold nearly one-third of its Bitcoin reserves to raise approximately $1.6 billion for data centers and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
This new contract has become a bet on MARA's AI transformation rather than simply an alternative to buying Bitcoin. Binance traders have shifted their focus, pulling money out of safer funds such as the QQQ technology ETF and moving it directly into individual stocks. The launch of contracts on MARA and other companies meets this demand, allowing traders to move millions of dollars into specific high-tech assets directly within Binance.
