Binance Faces DOJ Probe Over Alleged Iran Trading Links

US federal prosecutors are investigating Binance over allegations that it knowingly allowed trading related to Iran on its platform. The probe comes as Washington intensifies pressure on Tehran, including in the crypto sector.

Binance has stated that it has a 'zero-tolerance approach to sanctions violations' and cooperates with law enforcement agencies.

The investigation, led by the Manhattan U.S. Attorney's Office and the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice, is looking into whether Binance processed trades from Iran despite current regulations.
