US authorities have launched an investigation into Binance over possible Iran sanctions violations.

The Manhattan US Attorney's Office is leading the inquiry, with the Justice Department's criminal division also involved.

Binance has stated that it maintains a zero-tolerance policy for sanctions breaches and cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies.

This latest investigation comes after Binance paid $4.3 billion in 2023 to settle US compliance violations.
