Binance Founder CZ Shifts Focus to Proactivity

In a recent book club event in Hong Kong, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao emphasized the importance of proactivity for employees. According to him, the only criterion for joining Binance is being proactive.

CZ mentioned that since his company operates remotely, employees often slack off for a few hours a day. If an employee doesn't report their progress and after two months he asks about it only to find out they worked for a week and then stopped, he will fire them.

CZ broke down proactivity into two points: 80% of success in life is about showing up; if you don’t participate, you miss opportunities; and considering what not to do is often more important than what to do. He also mentioned that in a remote company without workstation supervision, two months without results is the only dashboard.
