Binance has provided Russian law enforcement agencies with information about cryptocurrency donations made by Yuriy Belyenkyi to Ukrainian fundraising campaigns. The data, which includes transaction history and personal details, was used as evidence in a case against Belyenkyi for financing terrorism.

The case alleges that between January 2023 and March 2024, Belyenkyi transferred over $700 to the Ukrainian military and an organisation linked to them. The transactions were made following an online appeal by Arkady Babchenko, which Moscow considers to be a terrorist organisation.

Binance stated that it cooperates with legitimate requests from law enforcement agencies, taking into account applicable legal, privacy, and regulatory requirements. However, the company did not comment on the specific enquiry or individual case.
