Binance Helps India Take Down Darknet Drug Ring with Blockchain Intelligence

India's Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) dismantled a darknet drug network called Team Kalki, thanks to blockchain intelligence from Binance and the Data Security Council of India.

The investigation involved tracing illicit crypto transactions, freezing cryptocurrency assets, and disrupting the group's financial network.

According to Binance, investigators used wallet tracking and blockchain analytics to identify connected wallets and freeze assets linked to Team Kalki.

S.B. Seker, Binance's Head of APAC, noted that 'this transparency is actually a significant advantage, it allows authorities to trace, investigate, and address wrongdoing more effectively.'
