Binance Hits 2-Year High in Bitcoin Holdings Amid Market Uncertainty
Binance's Bitcoin holdings have reached a two-year high of over 693,000 BTC. This surge can be attributed to investors transferring Bitcoin to Binance during periods of strong price appreciation, such as the May and August rallies.
According to CryptoQuant, this influx of Bitcoin could indicate that potential selling supply is building up. However, it's essential to note that a rising exchange balance does not confirm a sell-off.
One reason behind this surge is Binance's deep liquidity, making it an attractive platform for traders who want to buy or sell substantial amounts of BTC without impacting the market price.
Another factor contributing to the increase in Bitcoin reserves at Binance is SAFU (Secure Asset Fund for Users), a protection mechanism designed to secure users' assets. This fund has deployed $1 billion to safeguard approximately 15,000 BTC.
