Binance Imposes New Requirements on Cross-Border Crypto Transfers in Brazil
Binance has announced new requirements for Brazilian users starting November 1st. The exchange will now request additional information from customers sending or receiving cross-border cryptocurrency transfers, including the purpose of each transfer and the counterparty type.
The new rules aim to bring cryptocurrency transactions deeper into Brazil's foreign-exchange framework. Binance will report these transactions monthly to Brazil's central bank under Resolution BCB No. 521/2025.
Certain international transfers are capped at $100,000 when the counterparty is not authorized to operate in Brazil's foreign-exchange market. Customers sending cryptocurrency to their own account on a foreign exchange will have the purpose and counterparty details populated automatically.
