Binance Invests $100M in Circle as Crypto Payments Gain Momentum
Binance has made a significant investment in Circle, the company behind the popular stablecoin USDC. The exchange purchased a $100 million stake in Circle and expanded its partnership with the company to promote the use of USDC.
This move is seen as a major vote of confidence in crypto payments from an established exchange. Binance plans to promote USDC more widely under the expanded agreement, giving it greater visibility on a major trading platform.
DigiTap, another company, has also launched a beta app for live crypto payments. The app supports over 100 crypto assets and is available for download on both App Store and Google Play while its token, $TAP, remains in presale.
