Binance Invests $100M in Circle, Expands USDC Promotion Efforts
Binance has invested $100M in Circle and signed a new five-year commercial agreement to promote USDC across its vast user platform. The partnership will see Binance, one of the largest crypto exchanges globally, actively promoting USDC usage, particularly in emerging markets.
The deal also includes a significant equity investment in CRCL shares, making Binance a shareholder in USDC issuer Circle. Under this new agreement, Circle will pay Binance a monthly fee calculated as a percentage of the USDC held through Circle's Modular Smart Contract Wallet infrastructure.
This arrangement is expected to generate substantial revenue for Binance as its user base expands USDC balances and usage across its ecosystem. In contrast to earlier agreements signed in November 2024 and August 2025, this new deal focuses on increasing USDC adoption across various aspects of Binance's global presence.
