Binance Lists Hyperliquid After Delay Due to Risk Management Concerns
Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange, has faced scrutiny over its listing and delisting of altcoins based on market conditions. Recently, it listed Hyperliquid (HYPE), which sparked significant market buzz.
In a statement, CZ, Binance's founder, explained that HYPE was not previously listed due to concerns over its token distribution and asset custody structure, which may not have met the exchange's risk management requirements at the time.
CZ noted that conditions may have changed since then, suggesting that the decision to list HYPE was not solely based on market conditions or listing requests. However, he did not provide a detailed technical explanation for Binance's past assessment.
