Binance Migrates Crypto Assets Ahead of Account System Overhaul
Binance is restructuring its account system to simplify asset management and improve user experience. Starting September 29, 2026, cryptocurrency assets in Funding Accounts will be migrated to Spot Accounts.
The exchange has announced that it will provide a 'One-Click Migration' feature for users to transfer their existing crypto holdings themselves, while assets not transferred manually will be migrated automatically by Binance in batches beginning January 2027. The migration is expected to continue through January 2027.
Once the migration period ends, the Funding Account will be renamed the Stocks Account and used exclusively for the settlement of stock and stock-options transactions. The Stocks Account will support six settlement assets: USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U, and BNB.
