Binance Migrates Crypto Assets Ahead of Stocks Account Rename
Binance has begun migrating non-stock crypto assets from Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts as part of its restructuring plan. This process, which started on September 29, 2026, is expected to continue through January 2027.
The exchange aims to simplify its account structure and asset management by separating ordinary crypto balances from accounts used for stock and stock-options settlement.
Funding Accounts will be renamed to Stocks Accounts and will support USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U, and BNB as settlement assets. Other crypto assets will be handled through Spot Accounts for deposits and withdrawals.
