Binance Migrates Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts in Late 2026

Binance has announced that it will begin migrating user accounts from Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts on September 29, 2026. This change is aimed at simplifying how crypto assets are organized across the platform.

The migration process is expected to take several months and will be completed by January 2027. During this time, users can manually migrate their assets using a One-Click Migration button or wait for Binance to handle it automatically in batches starting in January 2027.

Funding Accounts will be renamed to Stocks Accounts after the migration and will only be used for stock and options trading settlement. On-chain crypto deposits into Funding Accounts will stop on September 29, 2026, and all crypto deposits and withdrawals will move to Spot Accounts.
