Binance Opens Wealth-Management Platform to High-Net-Worth Individuals
Crypto exchange Binance is expanding its wealth-management platform to attract rich investors. The company's Capital Connect platform, previously limited to institutional investors, will now be open to individual investors who meet financial requirements.
Users must hold at least $1 million in assets to access the platform. Catherine Chen, head of Binance VIP and institutional, said 'Individual investors want access to Capital Connect.' This is a response to their demand, as users are interested in comparing and investing in professional strategies through the platform.
The setup for Capital Connect is similar to separately managed accounts in traditional finance. Trading teams manage investment strategies, while Binance's Portfolio Account infrastructure handles functions such as management and performance fees and risk metrics. The company has observed qualified investors focusing on trading teams' track records and standardized performance data.
