Binance Overhauls User Account Structure
Binance has announced a major change to its user account structure. Starting September 29, 2026, the exchange will begin migrating users' crypto assets from Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts.
The migration is set to end in January 2027 and aims to simplify the user account structure and improve asset management.
Binance users will be able to use six settlement assets - USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U, and BNB - for stocks and stock-options trading through the renamed Stocks Account. Existing open Limit Orders with assets frozen in Funding Accounts will remain frozen and settle to Spot Accounts after September 29, 2026.
Assets received from Binance Card, Gift Card, Pay, and other sources will be credited to Spot Accounts starting from September 29, 2026.
