Binance Pours $100 Million into Circle Amid USDC Expansion Push
Binance has invested $100 million in Circle Internet Group through a private placement that closed on September 17, purchasing 1,237,011 Class A shares at $80.84 per share.
The investment marks an expanded five-year partnership between the two companies, which includes a monthly incentive fee for Binance tied to USDC balances held through Circle's Modular Smart Contract Wallet infrastructure.
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire said the partnership aims to expand dollar access and support savings and investment in global emerging markets.
