Binance Quells Market Fears Over On-Chain Data Anomalies
Binance has pushed back against market concerns over on-chain data anomalies flagged by third-party trackers Coinglass and DefiLlama.
The exchange pointed out that similar past discrepancies with DefiLlama were resolved within 24-48 hours, urging users to verify their holdings directly through Binance's proof-of-reserves page or via CoinMarketCap for total balances.
Binance also suggested running regular withdrawal tests across platforms and noted that Coinglass highlighted discrepancies based on public data in the past, including a 2025 incident where it showed $21.75 billion outflows, contradicted by DefiLlama's $900 million inflows.
The exchange defended its transparency efforts, citing its annual 'Withdrawal Day' proposal to test asset authenticity and address user concerns about Binance reserves since the 2022 collapses.
