Binance Regains Access in Philippines Through New Partnership
Binance has regained access across major Philippine networks after PLDT restored its website on the platform's network. This move extends an SEC-supervised return for Binance, which is still subject to testing and local compliance requirements.
The company returned through BlockShoals Technologies, an SEC-approved crypto asset intermediary that received permission to begin sandbox testing on April 14, 2026. Binance does not operate the local service directly, with BlockShoals acting as an introducing intermediary while Binance services are supplied by entities regulated in the Abu Dhabi Global Market.
The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had previously blocked Binance after finding it offered investment and trading services without the required local registration. The company's return uses a different legal structure, with BlockShoals receiving in-principle SEC approval in November 2025 and a Notice to Proceed with Testing on April 14, 2026.
Although restored website access removes a major technical barrier for users, Filipino customers still await local fiat channels. BlockShoals is connecting Philippine peso payment channels and completing systems required under the country's anti-money laundering rules.
