Binance Removes Four USDC Trading Pairs Amid Liquidity Concerns
Binance has announced that it will remove four USDC spot trading pairs on September 18 at 03:00 UTC. The affected pairs are BREV/USDC, COOKIE/USDC, LA/USDC, and QNT/USDC.
The exchange cited poor liquidity and trading volume levels as the reasons for removing these specific pairs. However, this does not mean that the underlying assets will be delisted from Binance Spot. Customers can continue to trade the base and quote assets through other supported markets.
Binance has used a similar process in the past to consolidate spot markets, removing 23 pairs while keeping their underlying assets available. The exchange has stated that pair removals do not affect the availability of tokens on Binance Spot.
